Greetings & thank you for for gracefully  stumbling into my world. Here is where I weave seasonal stories with botanicals as my narrative.

Since I was a little girl, my dream has always been to be a wildflower in an Aspen meadow, dappled in sunshine and dancing on a soft mountain breeze. But I am a human, and the the closest I can get to making that dream come true is growing my own meadow. A meadow full of wildflowers, native plants and herbs. A meadow that greets visitors with dewy enchantment and endless possibilities for experiential learning and inspiration.

This meadow is located on a 5 acre hobby farm that in its former glory was once a 100 acre dairy farm in the beautiful foothills of the Cascade mountains of Southwest Washington.

Having resided here for almost 9 years with my clan of 3 boys and my Jack-of-all-trades husband, I have watched this land like a hawk perched in the mighty evergreens that surround the property. I have stood in the seasonal arc of the sun and the moon and know exactly where the light falls. Even with my eyes closed. I know where the earth is rich and giving and where the soil desires to be tended to and nourished. I know my lands heartbeat, and that it longs to cradle medicinal herbs, wildflowers, native plants and trees.

My dream is to build this place into a thriving environment that yields beautiful and simple medicinals, veggies and fruit. A sanctuary that offers workshops and guidance for those seeking a betterment of self, wellness and a deeper understanding of the valuable resources of our planet and how we can be allies for Mother Earth.

With the radical changes to our climate and the shifting of the paradigm of our planet, It is our goal to restore our land to a rich habitat for pollinators, native plants and beneficial species alike. We are utilizing permaculture principles that work with nature rather than against her.

Educating others within our local community and through Community Supported Herbalism is my main goal. This way folks can become inspired to grow and make their own medicines with botanicals that speak to their individual needs.

We even have garden plots for rent for just this purpose!

It has taken me many years to fully realize what I plan to do with my “one wild and precious life”. At 40 years old I am ready to do whatever it takes to make my dreams of a wild meadow come true. In return I promise to make sure you are just as inspired by the songs of Flowers, Roots, Leaves and Seeds.

Thank you for stopping by and supporting this work. We hope to see you out at the farm!

A brief look at our Goals and Dream Seeds:

Thanks to your support we will be able to accomplish these. If you would like to donate to the ever growing list of projects/ needs on the farm, we welcome your hands (preferred) or you can sign up for our seasonal herbal share here

Continue to improve degraded soil with perennial cover crop, mulching, composting, mycorrhizal fungi inoculation, crop rotation, rotational grazing, N-fixing/ Dyn-Acc. plants and trees, hugelkultur/ no dig garden beds.

Reduce open grassy spaces by planting a diverse variety of fruit and nut bearing trees, berry producing shrubs, grass suppressing perennial flowers, herbs, etc.

Lessen physical labor and increase harvest yields through regenerative agriculture.

Create seasonal work/ live dwellings for guests who wish to study and learn onsite through farmstay opportunities.

Increase solar power & water catchment systems to reduce use of city grid systems.

Maintain a vibrant and colorful landscape with earth-made structures, wildflower meadows & botanical sanctuaries for animals and pollinators.

Improve community connection through offering workshops, community garden plots and hosting seasonal events.

“Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature -- the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.”
