Gnarly Roots chai. It is so incredibly grounding. It’s been on rotation in my mug every couple of days. That Burdock root really has a knack for pulling all the buried stuff up to the surface and kicks it on out the door! It’s immediate in its action to cool a hot headed temperament and pull you back to center.
Burdock (Arctium lappa) Full of vibrant and beneficial vitamins and minerals, burdock makes a wonderful fall/ winter tonic for its grounding and balancing nature helps one ease into the shadows of our resting phase. A useful herb for warding off negativity and providing one with protection. Can also be used to clear the mind prior to meditation.
Crafted with organic botanicals of: Nettle leaf, Burdock root, Dandelion root, Ashwagandha root, Ginger root, proprietary spice blend and vanilla essence.
1 heaping tablespoon per 8 oz freshly boiled water
Steep Time: 3-4 minutes If you prefer a strong cup or are brewing as a chai, use more leaves.
For an inspired chai, use ¾ cup water, and ¼ cup milk of choice in a saucepan. Bring to a light boil, reduce heat and gently simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, strain into your favorite mug and sweeten to taste with raw honey.
